Eugene Queers (LGBTQ+)

We're a group of LGBTQ+ , Trans, Gender Fluid an Non-Binary Friends who like hangin’ out and doin’ fun stuff with each other, Framily and Allies.
Whether you're single or committed (or it's complicated), Butch or Femme (or somewhere in between), into music, sports, travel, socializing or even if being DD is more your speed, let's make all of Eugene our playground!

Guidelines and those darn rules:

-Members should be at least 18 years old.  Some events will be all ages and Framily invited, we will do our best to indicate this in the event description.

-This is a private group, which means only other group members can see our event details and photos and your group photo/bio--we understand that some folks might not be out in all areas of their lives.

-Upload an identifiable photo of yourself. We have a commitment to the safety and fair treatment of our members. We want to see your beautiful face, and so we can find each other at events. Oh, and use your preferred first name. (Contact Andrea if you're not sure how to change your group photo.) Please, post your pic, not a pic of your pet....
-We require members to drink or cannabis responsibly. Plan ahead taking turns as a designated driver/pay for some gas or get their meal or plan on using Uber, Lyft or a Taxi.
-That being said, if you have had too much alcohol and an anyone asks you to take a taxi or get a ride from someone and you refuse, you will be removed from the group.
-The organizers are unpaid volunteers. We do this just for the fun of it because we love our community! Want an event, let us know.
- Joining our community you agree to be photographed or videoed and images may be used in this Meetup group.
-The group organizers welcome and respect the diversity, equity and inclusion of our members and expect other members to do the same. We strive to provide a supportive atmosphere for all LGBTQ+ regardless of race, ethnicity, gender identity or expression, socioeconomic status, religion, ability, marital status, or place of origin. We think that's a pretty cool way to be.
-Anyone - over pursuing someone to go out/be friends with a Member just not interested will be contacted to hear both sides. Let's all agree to be respectful; supportive and play nice.
Go ahead and give someone your number or ask them out, without expectations. If you're asked out and you just aren't feeling it. Just say, I'm not interested, let's end Ghosting. It's ok to be friendly at events with someone who took the chance to ask you out, take it as a complement and know we will hold Members to boundaries....
Ghosting-let's all be part of ending this. Consider saying, I really enjoyed our time, but I'm interested in making friends and I've got enough for now. We have all been there...
- While we make every attempt to provide a fun and safe time, by attending an event, you assume full responsibility and agree to release all, for your own health, safety, and well-being while in attendance and while traveling to/from and during events. The organizers assume no liability for your health or safety during social events, and members assume responsibility for their own medical costs in the case of illness or accident.
